Students attending the OMPA Career Fair (Film School Career Day) over spring break got an unexpected surprise when comedian, content creator and filmmaker Skweezy Jibbs appeared as a guest speaker.

Skweezy Jibbs is a “chaotic-good” local internet personality who has been creating viral comedy for over a decade. He is almost always seen in a tilted baseball cap and a state of constant confident confusion. While his persona is high-energy and unpredictable, he is actually the satirical creation of comedian Tim Savage.

True to his reputation for being approachable and down-to-earth, Jibbs sat among students in the audience before being called to the stage, catching many off guard.

Once onstage, Jibbs delivered his signature mix of humor and honesty. He shared insights from his experience in the media industry and offered a candid, and often hilarious, take on both the creative and business sides of producing and marketing his latest film, “Skweezy Jibbs Makes a Movie.” He also emphasized the realities of the industry and the persistence required to break through.

After the session, Jibbs stayed to connect with students, taking photos and continuing conversations between panels. For many students who follow Skweezy on social media, the appearance was an exciting and memorable experience. For those in the Integrated Media video production program, the visit also provided a rare opportunity to engage directly with a working creator.

Jibbs is currently touring with “Skweezy Jibbs Makes a Movie,” continuing to build his audience through the same blend of humor and authenticity that made his visit a standout moment. For more information about Skweezy Jibbs and his work, go to https://skweezymovie.com.
