Mt. Hood Community College was teeming with life during this year’s fall term Club Fair. Hundreds of students gathered in the Student Union, ready to devour free pizza and marvel at eye-catching displays.
“There’s definitely more passion in students this year. It’s great to see so many people eager to get involved,” a student club representative exclaimed.
One by one, student clubs and organizations set up their tables and answered questions from curious students stopping by. Regardless of whether or not students applied to the clubs, it was an opportunity to connect and learn new talents, skills, hobbies and languages.

The event is held every term and is a great way for students to explore the clubs and organizations that MHCC has to offer outside of the classroom. With midterms around the corner, it’s a great way for students to take their mind off of studying.
Students who are too busy to commit to joining a club or attending meetings can still attend club events. Clubs advertise event posters around campus that are welcome for students and staff to join.
Students looking to start their own club can find the guide on MHCC’s website at mhcc.edu/campus-life/clubs-organizations/start-a-club. They can also reach out to ASMHCC Student Organizations and Clubs Representative Alma Perez at asgd@mhcc.edu for more club information or support.
