It’s coming up on that time of year again – the leaves are turning shades of red and yellow, the daylight hours are getting shorter, and the wind is getting colder. It’s the season of pumpkins, corn mazes, and sweet treats.

Fall is truly here, and the end of October is approaching. That means that Halloween is just a few days away. For many years now, MHCC has held a Halloween event on campus for people of all ages.

This year, the Halloween event is Barney’s Boo Bash, which will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 31, in the MHCC Main Mall area. In previous years, various departments, clubs, as well as Student Life organizers, have set up tables and given out candy and treats to trick-or-treaters.

This is usually a popular event, drawing visitors from both the Mt. Hood student population as well as families looking for a safe and fun place to take their children trick-or-treating. This year, Barney’s Boo Bash is set to feature sweet treats, hot chocolate, hot apple cider, and popcorn, as well as a photo booth, pumpkin painting, a pumpkin ring toss, and a costume parade for kids – all of which give a wide variety of options for all that attend.

In the event that you have other plans for Halloween, there are plenty of other events going on at MHCC in the next two weeks:
