SAINTS MEN’S BASKETBALL COACH JAILED ON SEX CHARGES

Nate Bowie, MHCC men’s basketball head coach, has been jailed in Southern Oregon and placed on administrative leave at both Mt. Hood and nearby Hall Elementary School in Gresham over charges of sexual online communication with an underage teen, The Oregonian/OregonLive.com reported Friday evening.

            The report said Bowie was in a Roseburg jail, pending $250,000 bail, on Friday.

            The Saints are due to host their final regular season game vs. Lane Community College on Saturday (March 12) in the Yoshida Events Center at 4 p.m.

            They have clinched a spot in the Northwest Athletic Conference championship tournament, which starts in Everett, Washington, on Thursday.
