MHCC President Lisa Skari and Chemeketa Community College President Jessica Howard also joined the festivities, placing a friendly wager on the outcome of the match. The president of the losing team would have to wear the winning team’s jersey.
Following the Saints’ victory, Howard honored the wager by wearing an MHCC volleyball Dig Pink jersey.
The annual event brought both college communities together for an evening of competition, athletic recognition and support of breast cancer awareness, in an expression of true sportsmanship in women’s volleyball.
